William F. Bornmann Jr.'s Obituary
William F. Bornmann Jr, 81, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2022 with his family by his side. Devoted husband to Marie Bornmann (nee Foreman). Dear father to Donna M. Zawislak (Greg), William F. Bornmann III (Jennifer), Sherri Lynn Hasty, Kimberly Ann Erwin-Rizzi (John), Eric S. Bornmann, and Tara Marie Smith (Michael). Beloved Pop Pop to Gregory, Alex, Nikki, Jenna, Nicholas, Christina, Samantha, Shane, Nathan “Duke” and Michaela. He was predeceased by his parents; William F. Bornmann Sr, and Thelma Bornmann (nee Rooney) and his Son-in-Law Joseph Erwin.
William was the most selfless, generous, and loving man. He bravely served his country in the US Air Force and proudly worked as a Philadelphia Police Officer for many years. After his retirement from the force, he worked in the automotive industry for many years. When he wasn’t working, William could be found cruising the Chesapeake on his beloved boat with his dear friends and kids, cruising around town in his classic cars and attending many car shows, or at the airport where he’d then loop and fly over his house-completely loving the rush of the sky. But most of all, William’s favorite activity was anything involving his wife, children and grandchildren. The love he had for them was like no other. He truly lived every day of his life for each of them. He is so deeply missed.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday, October 17th at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North, from 8am to 10am followed by his funeral mass at 10:30am at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Cinnaminson, NJ. Burial will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
