Ron Diment
I knew Bill as a fellow West Philly/Overbrook resident, classmate and pal since he entered Friends' Central School in the Lower School. I regret over the years that I lost contact with him, but have many fond memories of our boyhood friendship that was very Phila-sports-fan-centric! Back in the Upper School days, we were also known to find a hide-out together somewhere on campus where we would smoke his Newport cigarettes and pray we would not get caught, which we did a couple of infamous times. I can recall one day realizing it wasn't such a great hiding place out in the field behind the archery targets once the team started practice in the afternoon! He was a kind and gentle person with a good sense of humor, and I can imagine how much he will be missed.
