William P. Johnson's Obituary
William P. Johnson passed away peacefully on April 23, 2017 with his wife by his side. He was a resident of Palmyra, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, Bill was a graduate of Friends’ Central School and Philadelphia University. He served in the U.S. Army.
Bill was a Contract Administrator and Designer for J. E. Caldwell Jewelers where he travelled extensively for the Daughters of the American Revolution and various historic societies. To many societies, he was known as “Mr. Caldwell”.
Bill was the son of the late Paul and Ethel Johnson and the loving father of the late David P. Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan M. (nee Scheb) and his sister, Joanne E. Hemingway, along with many nieces and nephews.
Bill enjoyed spectator sports, gardening, music, reading and spending time with his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to arrive at 9:30 for Bill’s Memorial Service to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, at Christ Church, 2nd Street above Market, Philadelphia, PA.
