Dear Family and Friends,Thank you all for the kind words. It was so comforting to see so many friends and family at Dad's services yesterday. The presence of the Navy soldiers at the cemetery and the playing of taps was amazing thing to experience. It was fantastic to see some of the "Poley Clan"--Uncle Mike, Peggy, Nancy, Scott, Kelly, Aunt Betty and Addie. Thanks also to family and friends who shared their condolences and helped us to "Celebrate a Live Well Lived". As I said yesterday-- I know Dad and Mom are up in heaven jitterbugging around the dance floor and celebrating their reunion with the rest of the family. Our love to everyone.Donna and Tom DrewesLynn and David Leusner
Dear Lynn, Donna, I am truly sorry for your loss. When I think of your Mom and Dad, I think of your mother in her bathing suit in the backyard encouraging everyone to go into the pool and making sure "you go get something to eat." Your father always looked on lovingly. They were a wonderful couple. Your mother was the outspoken one, but I always got the sense of your father's quiet strength. You are in my thoughts.
Lynn, you and I go all the way back to high school. Years pass and we end up working together. You've been a good friend and I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and Dave at this time.
To Lynn and Donna, I am so sorry for your loss. I can still picture your mother in her bathing suit encouraging everyone invited to go in the pool and "make sure you get something to eat" while your father looked on lovingly. I got the sense that she was the outspoken one, but it was Bill who quietly was in charge. They were a special couple. And those who knew them both were priviledged. Love to you, your children, and to the entire Poley family. You are in my thoughts. Beth Lipshutz
My wife Jackie and I have had the pleasure of meeting and knowing both of Donna's parents during our 17 year friendship with Donna and Tom. We've been to the Poley home once when Andie graduated college and we were made to feel as if we were old friends. We hope Bill and Betty are hosting big parties for friends and family like they did in this life for all of us!
Some of my fondest childhood memories were at the Poley pool. Uncle Bill always made everyone feel welcome. I'm sure Aunt Betty and Billy are welcoming him now.Peggy Poley Huston
Too hard to choose one favorite memory, and no words could describe the love & pride I felt when you'd refer to me as "daughter #3" - my life was forever changed by sharing the love and kindness, and often craziness, of your family - thank you all, forever - Trish
Mimi and I were lucky to have had dinner with our brothers Bill and Lou the last time Bill was here in Florida. I remember all the family get together growing up --God speed! Pat Poley Sladek, Maitland Fl
