William T. Poley, Sr.
Passed away peacefully on May 20, 2013 at the Masonic Home of NJ, Burlington, NJ. Bill was born on August 15, 1927 to Lillian Mae Tahl and George William Poley, Jr. Bill was a machinist in the US Navy and served in the South Pacific during WW II. Bill was predeceased by his wife Betty Janet and they celebrated over 50 years of loving marriage. Bill and Betty enjoyed traveling in their trailer with family and friends. For years, Bill's Flying "A" and Getty Service Station was a business fixture on Main Street in Maple Shade. Bill was active member of the Maple Shade Lions Club and a member of the Moorestown-Maple Shade Masonic Lodge #281, F&AM.
Loving father of Lynn Leusner (David), Donna Drewes (Tom) and the late William T. Poley, Jr. Devoted grandfather of Andrea Drewes and Katie (Michael) Campanelli. Great grandfather of Amelia Marie Campanelli. Brother of Louis, Tom and Mike Poley and his step-sisters, Patricia and Mimi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bill's Life Celebration and viewing Friday 10-11 a.m. at Inglesby/Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street. His Masonic Service will be at 11 a.m. and his Funeral Service to follow. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Betty and Bill Poley Scholarship Fund c/o Mary Anne Constantine at Columbia Bank, 253 E. Main St. Maple Shade, NJ 08052.
